Plasma Pen / Fibroblast Therapy

Younger Looking Cosmetic
Results Await You

Plasma-based cosmetic treatments have been around for some time. But the “plasma” we’re referring to has nothing to do with the liquid found in your bloodstream.

Plasma refers to a stream of free electrons and positively charged ions. It is created when a gas is heated to a very high temperature. The molecules in the gas are highly charged, and the molecules split apart to release the ions and electrons.
This plasma has been found to offer exceptionally amazing cosmetic benefits and is particularly helpful in battling signs of aging.

The Plasma Pen Skin Tightening
Procedure at You Only Younger

The plasma pen cosmetic treatment is a non-invasive and non-surgical technique that uses plasma to tighten your loose and wrinkly skin.

The procedure starts by first identifying the area of treatment. Once the target area is chosen, a plasma pen device is used to charge the air above the area to a very high temperature. When the plasma pen is placed 1mm away from the skin, the closeness between the plasma pen tip and your skin results in the formation of a “plasma arch.” This arch is a highly charged electrical current, which contains oxygen and nitrogen.

When the plasma arch touches your skin, it evaporates instantly. However, before this vaporization occurs, the excessive heat in the plasma arch breaks the surface of your skin. The tiny burns that develop superficially, cause your old dermal cells and skin proteins to disintegrate. This constant exposure to the plasma arch for the duration of the treatment forces your skin to get rid of old cells and regenerate fresh skin cells. When this happens, the old, sagging skin is disintegrated slowly and fresh, younger-looking, smoother skin grows in its place. This entire process is also called Fibroblast because the plasma pen targets the skin cells called fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin in the skin.

The treatment offers a variety of anti-aging benefits like:

• Skin lifting
• Skin tightening
• Wrinkle smoothing
• Skin resurfacing
• Contouring
• Skin regeneration
• Facial rejuvenation

What Can the Plasma Pen Treat?

Our team at You Only Younger can treat the following signs of aging, using the plasma pen:

• Frown lines
• Tear troughs
• Smile lines
• Glabellar lines
• Marionette lines
• Bunny lines
• Mild-to-moderate nasolabial folds
• Crow’s feet
• Lip lines

Since the plasma arch facilitates regeneration of skin tissue, you can also effectively treat the following conditions:

• Acne scars
• Lesion scars
• Seborrheic keratosis
• Age spots
• Pigmentation
• Moles
• Skin tags

Who Can Undergo a Plasma Pen Treatment?

Absolutely anyone above the age of 30 can undergo the plasma pen fibroblast treatment, but the effects of the procedure are much better for people with lighter skin.

Since the procedure involves subjecting you to small jolts of electric current, it is recommended that pregnant women, people with autoimmune conditions, clients undergoing chemotherapy/radiation therapy and those who have severe skin conditions, consult our professionals before booking this treatment.

Caring For Your Skin After
the Plasma Pen Treatment

Within a week after the procedure, you will notice tiny brown-black crusts appearing on the treated areas of your face. There is no need to worry. This is just a sign of your old, sagging skin disintegrating.

These crusts/scabs will slowly fall off in the next few days, as your skin heals and healthier skin grows. Overall, depending on the extensiveness of the treatment, it can take up to 12 weeks for your skin to reveal complete results.

During this time it is advised that you don’t go out in the sun for the first 14 days. That you wear SPF 50 sunscreen even when inside the house. Avoid touching your face or scratching at the scabs even if they itch. We will provide a skincare to assist in the recovery of the skin.

Don’t use any abrasive cosmetics or soaps to wash your face. Our team will suggest a post-procedure skincare for you. We recommend sticking to plain water to wash your face, during the initial recovery time before your first follow-up appointment.

After the healing is complete, you will notice your skin is smoother, tighter, and softer. The results of the plasma pen treatment will last for up to 5 years. Our specialists are one of the leading Texas med spa providers. Feel free to contact us to schedule your session.
