Stop Bothersome Sweating – Hyperhidrosis
Excessive sweating can be very embarrassing as well as costly. Medical research demonstrates that 1 in 5 people suffer from what doctors consider “excessive sweating”? Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, targets the underarm, palms and foot areas. This medical disorder is rarely discussed because of the patients being embarrassed or ashamed. Constantly replacing pieces of your wardrobe due to underarm sweat stains can be very expensive, however, there are ways to curtail this embarrassing bodily function.
Treatments | miraDry® v BOTOX®
While hyperhidrosis is considered a medical condition by medical personnel, it is usually treated as a cosmetic condition. Currently You Only Younger offers the following treatments to help control your bothersome sweating and odor:
What is miraDry® and How does it help?
miraDry LogomiraDry® is a revolutionary treatment that uses microwave technology to damage underarm sweat glands, resulting in as much as 90% reduction in produced sweat. These results are long lasting thus help provide a long-term solution for excessive sweating. Typically one treatment is needed to sigficantlysignificantly reduce the sweat and odor.
BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can help relax the muscles associated with creating sweat. Sweat reduction from these injections can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months.Read More
Which treatment should you choose?
BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can be used for areas other than the underarms such as the palms of hands and soles of feet. miraDry® is not able to treat in either of these areas. Currently the company that makes the miraDry® machine is in a clinical trial for treatment of the groin area.
Over a lifetime, BOTOX® Cosmetic is more expensive for the underarm area than the miraDry® due to the need for continuing treatments. After two treatments with the miraDry®, most people have no need for subsequent treatments throughout the remainder of their life.
